Chattanooga (Tennessee) becomes the first city of US to have the 1Gbps Internet service for home users. A month back a Swedish mom installed a 40Gbps Internet connection at her home, I guess this launch for the US home users could be an answer to this. But still there is a huge difference in 40Gbps and 1Gbps 🙂

OnLive Cloud Gaming, No Need To Buy Gaming Consoles

OnLiveYes! The title says it all! Steve Pearlman is back in the news with his new OnLive cloud gaming technology. At GDC ’09 Steve Pearlman came up with his new cloud gaming OnLive service. Steve Pearlman was the person who sold the WebTV technology to Microsoft for around US$400million but it eventually died. The new concept of OnLive is a new gaming experience which will put an end to the gaming console market. Sony Playstation, Microsoft XBOX, Nintendo, all would be doomed by this new technology. After the could computing technology now its the time to have a real cloud gaming. OnLive is launching on 24th March, 2009 (1hour 30mins from now at the time when I posted this article)

Nokia N95 “No Gateway Reply” Error Fix

Nokia N95Using wireless Wifi Internet on mobile phones have always been a charm and convenience for the on travelling. I bought Nokia N95 just because it has a Wifi in it. I have an Asus motherboard in my PC which has a built-in Wifi Access Point in it. I tried a lot but the Wifi never worked for me on Nokia N95 Mobile Phone. Whereas, my blackberry mobile set, Sony PSP and Laptop used to connect through that same Wifi AP. The problem was very irritating for me and I had to find the fix to it. Nokia N95 used to connect to the Wifi and also even identifies the Access point, but when I used to try browsing, it used to give an error “No Gateway Reply”. Philips Internet TVPhilips Electronics is striking again in the market with their new products. Philips 8000 Series and Philips 9000 Series Internet Televisions are the upcoming products by Philips. There was a time when people were searching for sources to watch TV channel online live on their PC. But now the time has changed. Its hard to get your hands of the computer because its all what you need don’t you? The once used TV in your room may be looking now like a old decoration piece, as the computer allows you to watch your TV programs online. Its now a reality that the mobiles and high-tech computers are taking us all by storm. I remember how I used to watch shows on my TV and then I see as of today, that I do it on my computer. But Philips has some other plans, they have announced to invest in the Internet@TV technology.

Download New Google Chrome 2.0.164.1

Google ChromeGoogle announced the next version of Google Chrome the 2.0 Beta version in second week of January. Previously I had described How to Install Google Chrome 2.0 Beta. I just happened to see that the new version of Google Chrome, i.e. Google Chrome 2.0.164.1 is available for free download over the Internet. It is not yet available openly for the people to download on the official website. Google Chrome web browser really made a big change in the browser’s industry and shook the earth under the feet of Microsoft and Firefox.

First 100 dot-com registered domains

dot comThe Internet industry started in 1985 and the first .com domain “symbolics.com” was registered on 15th March, 1985. The company was a computer manufacturer which was known for its Open Genera Lisp and Macsyma computer algebra systems. Symbolics company was bankruptted in 90’s and the domain was transfered to its new owners. This still makes symbolics.com to be the earliest registered .com domain which is still functioning.
