Gmail Username with unique feature

Gmail by GoogleGmail has a very unique and cool feature with the usernames.¬†Previously wrote an article “Gmail Bug With UserID” but after getting the response from users and my friends, I realized I made a mistake and the article was totally wrong. Gmail does not have a bug, rather it is a unique feature with its usernames. If you have an account username@gmail.com then user.name@gmail.com or username+something@gmail.com are referred to the same username.

Gmail Bug With User ID

Gmail by GoogleToday I received an email on my non-gmail account (the alternative email set in my gmail) with the link to reset the password of my gmail account. I never requested for the password reset, and I was amazed about that. The interesting thing was the email mentioned the gmail id in it for which the password reset request was made but it was not my ID. My gmail id is talalmasood but the password reset request which was made was for talal.masood. (CORRECTION TO MY THIS ARTICLE IS “GOOGLE USERNAME WITH UNIQUE FEATURE)

Google Chrome OS, Will it beat Microsoft Windows?

Google LogoGoogle today announced officially the launch of the first Operating System by Google called “Google Chrome OS” and yes, its an Open Source Operating System. It is designed specially for the netbooks, as Google see an avalanche of netbooks coming into the market in the coming years. Google Chrome OS will be able to run on any x86 machine as well as the mobile AMR processor. Further Google said that the final version of the OS will be available in the market by the second half of year 2010. Google said that all the applications of¬†Google Chrome OS will be web-based.

Dell iPhone Killer Prototype Rejected by Mobile Carriers

Today one of the analyst Shaw Wu said that Dell actually built a mobile phone and it was not a rumor. Dell is one of the biggest PC and Laptop manufacturers of the world and after releasing a portable media player Dell Digital Jukebox Circa 2003 to compete iPod, now Dell is targeting iPhone.

Gmail allowing multiple file attachments

Gmail by GoogleGoogle Mail aka Gmail has been working on their email service since a long time and still weeks after weeks some new unique and exciting feature comes out. Sometimes those features are some sort of mods or sometimes the mail Gmail interface gets a luxury. Just like the Gmail’s multiple Inbox mod previously launched by Google Labs, this time Gmail introduced the multiple file attachments option.
