Microsoft‘s new operating system Windows 8 will be hitting the market most probably in year 2012. In my article in Feb 2010, I also discussed that may be Windows 8 is just a code name and will be called “Windows.Next“. We are still not sure because Microsoft is good at keeping secrets. Everyone is quite excited about the new metro style user interface of Windows 8 and a lot of people wants to try it out. How to Enable/Start Facebook Video Chat Calling?

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook and Tony Bates, CEO of Skype in a joint product announcement launched Facebook video chat. Facebook and Skype both joined hands together and started up the web video calling feature. Facebook in the past has already joined hands with Microsoft to have Bing search into facebook and vise versa.

Skype Coming on Windows Phone 7 But No Support For Two-Way Video Calling Yet!

On MIX ’11 Microsoft’s VP for Windows Phone Program Management Joe Belfiore announced that Skype is making its way on to Windows Phone 7 pretty soon. On the same event, Microsoft announced the release of the famous game Angry Birds too. Skype is so far known as the best VoIP calling service which enables mobile users to call through Internet instead of their mobile carrier service provider.

IE10 For Windows Vista? Microsoft Says: No!

Microsoft yesterday announced their new browser Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) at the event MIX ’11. I too mentioned in my post yesterday about ‘Download IE10‘ that it is not yet confirmed that will it be available for the Windows Vista users or not. Microsoft clarifies it now, that IE10 will not be available for Windows Vista users.

Mostly they are published by two or three blogs only. The major interface change that is noticed is only the login screen and the taskbar of Microsoft Windows 8 which now shows your Windows Live display picture.

Microsoft buys 666,624 IPv4 addresses for $7.5 million

As you all are already aware that IPv4 is draining out and companies are looking forward to switch to IPv6, but something is going fishy here. Microsoft invested a huge amount of 7.5million USD in purchasing the IPv4 addresses from Nortel, which is a dying company and has been declared bankrupt in January 2009.

Microsoft has finally decide to launch Internet Explorer 9 on SXSW tomorrow 14th March 2011. According to Microsoft it is going to be a year of Internet Explorer for the PC users. MSIE9 took quite a long time to release and Microsoft released beta and RC versions before finally launching to make sure the users get exactly what they need.
