Pakistani Hackers hacked 270 Indian official websites as reply back

Is it the beginning of cyber war? On 26th November 2010, Indian hackers called “Indian Cyber Army” hacked 40 major government websites of Pakistan by entering into the root of NTC servers. In reply to those 40 websites, a group of Pakistani hackers called HEX786 on 27th November 2010 announced that they have hacked 270 Indian official websites including Indian Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) website.

Firefox add-on protects against hackers

Carnegie-Mellon University has developed a free add-on to the Mozilla Firefox 3.0 browser to boost security for users.

The Perspectives add-on was developed at the university’s School of Computer Science and College of Engineering.

The software protects Firefox users against potential “man-in-the-middle” wireless attacks when users are surfing the web.

The Perspectives system also supports domain name website certificates provided by the likes of VeriSign, Comodo and Godaddy.
