Conceptual Double Touch Screen Slider Mobile

A new conceptual mobile phone handset has been presented. It is a slider mobile phone handset and both the top and the inner part of the mobile is a touch screen. The main Screen and the inner dialpad (usually buttons) are also the touch screen.

NVIDIA announched Personal Supercomuter for $10,000

“NVIDIA announced a new category of supercomputers — the Tesla Personal Supercomputer — a 4 Teraflop desktop for under $10,000. This desktop machine has 4 of the Tesla C1060 GPU computing processors. These GPUs have no graphics out and are used only for computing. Each Tesla GPU has 240 cores and delivers about 1 Teraflop single precision and about 80 Gigaflops double-precision floating point performance. The CPU + GPU is programmed using C with added keywords using a parallel programming model called CUDA. The CUDA C compiler/development toolchain is free to download. There are tons of applications ported to CUDA including Mathematica, LabView, ANSYS Mechanical, and tons of scientific codes from molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, and electromagnetics; they’re listed on CUDA Zone.”

USB 3.0 to be supported on Windows Vista at least

Los Angeles, November 9, 2008: For those of you unaware Microsoft’s talk last Thursday at the Windows Hardware Engineering Conference centered around the delays in the finalization of specifications of USB 3.0. The expected final specifications are to be announced in San Jose, Calif., on November 17.

Google ends deal with Yahoo!

Since last one month there were on-going rumors that Google might end up the deal with Yahoo! Google was surving Google Ads in Yahoo! Search Engine for the last four months. Today Google’s senior VP David Drummond announced on his blog that Google is no longer going to continue with the partnership deal with Yahoo!

Let New York know your heartbeat at Pulse Park

At Madison Square Park New York, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer installed Pulse Park. To enter the park instead of registering with your name, you have to register with your heartbeat. Two hundred people’s pluse in the park will generate 200 beams of light, making a blinking and flashing disco effect. Lozano-Hemmer who is a Mexcian-Canadian individual has already built the Pulse Park in Mexico and Toronto.

Changes in Google Analytics

There is a little change in the interface of the Google Analytics dashboard page. It is just not the interface change but a new feature has been added to it. Now you can easily see the increase and drop of traffic on your websites with a little red or green arrow. Red downwards arrow shows the drop of traffic on your website and the Green upwards arrow shows the increase in your traffic. You can customize the time period for it, like you can see in last week was your traffic increasing or decreasing.

Overview of Intel Core i7 Processor

In August 2008, Intel announced there new upcoming next generation 45nm microarchitecture desktop processor which will join the family of “Intel Core” processors, codenamed as “Nehalem”. Intel tagged this new Nehalem processor as “i7” which apparently shows that it will be a 7-core processor. The “Intel Core i7” will come out in two different series – Intel Core i7 and Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition.
